Micro-ingredients handling
The Pegasus Mixer and the Pegasus Vacuum Coater are
effective tools for dealing
with the challenge of pack-
aging micro-ingredients and
sealing them off from the
air. Dinnissen says it ex-
pects to be able to improve
the effectiveness of cattle
feeds with this new technol-
ogy, thereby enabling cattle
farmers to realize improved
results. This new method creates opportunities in the feed sec-
tor to develop improved feed products and to reduce the use of
aggressive acids.

Herbal feed supplement
Indian Herbs, Saharanpur, a
pioneer and leader in producing
unique herbal animal feed supple-
ments, has developed BioCholine
as a natural and highly bioavailable
choline in conjugated/esterified form
(Phosphatidyl choline). The company
says BioCholine supplementation
helps to divert excess energy towards
muscle protein accretion rather than
body fat synthesis resulting in higher
growth and production performance,
with less lipids in liver, abdomen and carcass.

Nutrient combination
The SHG factor developed by Schaumann is a new nutrient
combination of organic acids and
highly effective fibrous compo-
nents. In addition to stabilising the
digestive process, and thereby re-
ducing the incidence of diarrhoea,
it stimulates the calf’s appetite
and increases dry feed intake. The
SHG factor is present in the milk
enhancers Kalbi Start Protect and
Kalbi Aktiv Protect and in the milk
replacers Kalbi Milch Fit Protect, Kalbi Milch Plus Protect and
Kalbi Milch Primus Protect.
